That said, Vi’s early ganks on my lane had me worried as she walked into lane and sort of chased

I pretty much played mop up crew and peeler for

Things I need to improve:
If I am going to keep playing Diana I must get better at last hitting, connecting with Crescent Strike (seems easier when coming in for a gank), and bullying weak match-ups in lane.
Question:
Would I have been better of starting Doran’s Ring? Diana burns through mana liked a parched person through water so I thought a

Nice!
Is there anything I need to change with the image coding to get it to show up in posts?
This is what it looks like in the BBCode, but in the actual post the image is showing up as a question mark placeholder.

In lane vs
Fizz and
Diana you shouldn't bother too much in harassing with Q early on. Instead, you should time your W well, threaten to hit him with your empowered auto-attack and bait his E into your minion wave so he pushes. Diana farms pretty well pre-6.
All in all your objective was mainly to reach lvl6 in one piece. I think you could've started Doran's ring to make sure he hurt himself going through your W and so that your passive hurt him more, but I don't think flask + pots was a poor decision due to mana costs.

Thank your for the laning strategy break down.
I did harass too much with Q early on, didn't reserve my empowered autoattack for fish breath, and because I didn't present much of a threat in those ways he felt no need to blow his W to try and keep up in farm or get away from me.
Regarding last hitting/farming. I tend, or have in the past, to jungle Diana so I'm comfortable playing her, but not last hitting with her. Her base attack damage is rather low and she has a long wind up on her swing, which means you have to wait until the minions are rather low and then get your attack in before your minions deal the killing blow. So some practice in a custom game is definitely in order before taking Di to mid or top again. I may look at running

Again thanks for the advice. Much appreciated. :-)

This was a story of bad engages and our team wandering around and letting themselves get picked. The opposing team did a pretty good job of wandering around in packs of threes meaning neither I nor

We picked up more dragons, but I wouldn’t say we had dragon control, simply that we were able to push them off or fight them when they came in to contest.
I made four main mistakes though the last didn’t matter by that stage.
1. Should have read their team comp better and put on my vs AP rune page.
2. Should have used

3. Should have noticed that no one on my team had a sweeper and picked one up.
4. Should have picked up Void Staff for my last item.
I am happy with my roaming during laning as I managed to pick up a kill top lane and a double kill bot lane.
Questions:
1. What do people run for runes on mages when they aren't sure who their lane opponent is?
2. Besides Locket what are some ways to deal with AoE damage?

I started playing League at the end of season 2 after my wife asked me to try the game out because she was interviewing with Riot. I didn't have any experience with MOBAs but I have played a lot of CRPGs. It seemed like a fun game and after a brief hiatus I started playing beginner bot matches, working my way up to intermediate bots. Once I started consistently beating intermediate bots I decided to give PvP a whirl. Wow! What difference!
I took a break from my main account and started a new account and exclusively played PvP games. It took a good chunk of Season 3, but I started consistently winning more than losing so I switched back to my main account and the ball was rolling.
Late in Season 4 I finally took the ranked plunge. I went 7-3 in my provisionals and ended up in SIII. My stint there was short lived as I quickly dropped to SIV where I remained for the rest of the season.
With the start of Season 5 my goal is to make it to Gold.
I tend to prefer utility positions such as jungler or support, but I have been getting more time in Top, Mid, and as ADC. I own all the champs and can play most of them with some facility.
The champions I feel most comfortable on are:
Top:
Mid:
Jungle:
ADC:
Support:
Mid is probably my weakest position, but I am hoping to fix that with more games and some work on my champion pool.
Thanks for tuning in and gl hf.
