I tried her post and pre. I absolutely despise her playstyle before and after. Sustain spam is just such a stupid mechanic.

I liked her before the rework and I still like her. I just hope this recent nerf doesn't totally murder her again, that would be pretty ******** given that she still had definite counters.
She's still top tier sustain champ wise, the only downfall is the counter parts generally are harder to 'hard counter'
Nami provides somewhat better disengage and speeds up allies on ability use as well making it easier to kite/run away in general. Ebb and Flow does provide decent damage, and an 'OK' heal not as much as competitors pre AP items. Tidecaller's Blessing synergizes well with champs that need to hit multiple times such as Vayne to do any real damage due to it making it somewhat easier to keep up with the target.
Sona Crescendo is a pretty strong AOE stun and is fairly hard to avoid without displacements such as Flash, Quickdraw, or Riftwalk. On top of that her early-mid game is just absurd with power chords. Doing more than a Corki with Phage does with Phosphorus Bomb+Auto is just insane.
Soraka heals more than all the predecessors listed, by far. Global threat with Wish giving your solo lanes a rather big advantage post 6 in fights. Silence field is insanely strong as well when placed where it needs to be, and surprisingly Starcall does hefty damage early on.
Nidalee Spears/Lol crits and low health are her main use, her heal isn't bad but she's better off building damage and assassinating like the hard to balance kitty that she is.
Kayle is another situation like Nidalee Divine Blessing isn't bad, but she is better off building a lot of AS > AP to shred front lines/if positioned right, back lines in fights.

I usually feel bad for using Syndra, not because I suck with her but because I feel like she's a real nightmare to go against. Damage output is ridiculous and if she takes 1-2 kills during lane phase you pretty much can't share the space unless you have a really long range safe farmer.
Thank you Byron for 2014's loudest laugh up till today

My friend had a struggle like this. We could kill Syndra pretty easy, even though she was the carry, but she would just ult our adc on sight and annihilate him. XD

Do you even realise who you're dealing with?
I usually go tear, codex, then DFG. Now, if I go on a teeny-tiny killing spree, I might get a rod instead.
