If u write something, u obviously want it to be read. why make a TL;DR when that there's actually more to it than the TL;DR. like i wouldn't have heard ur interesting story about how that somebody disrespectfully tackled a kid in a park just expressing himself through spray-art had i not read the whole story.
You're obviously missing the point, so let me put it in simpler terms that you can understand.
Group A) Like hearing the whole story.
Group B) Like hearing the general idea.
Main post- Appeals the Group A.
tl;dr- Appeals to group B
End result: More opinions from a larger crowd.
But Toshabi. Where to put the TL;DR? Which was actually my original question in this thread ;O
I'd say that in extreme cases, adding a small summary of a wall of text before it would work out quite fine. It could be called an "inb4 TL;DR, SIYWTWS"

Putting "TL;DR" first defeats the whole purpose of offering the entire story. It's like skipping to the last 4 pages of a book to see how it ends, but then deciding to read the entire book anyway...The idea is you not only give logical order to things, but offer people the opprutunity to read the whole post by placing a TL;DR at the end.
TL;DR: The TL;DR belongs at the end of a post, not the beginning.
