Introduction & Summary
Jax is a wonderful champion to play. Not only he is cheap, but he is easy and has crazy damage when played right. I personally played him somewhere 1500 times both in top lane and in jungle. This is my first guide ever, and it would be wonderful if you take your time and read my guide. I love

Another amazing thing with Jax is that he is very versatile, and literally everything works on him. There are just so many builds that make Jax effective, that even a troll build would work. I personally enjoy the hybrid Jax build since guinsoo's was introduced to league of legends, and It's one of the most fun builds out there. The trinity + hextech + guinsoo combo is basically bread and butter, and items such as titanic hydra are a topping to what we have. For your own personal good, I recommend trying both tanky hybrid,(Steraks + Titanic Hydra + Trinity), build as well as a classic hybrid Jax build.
Below are the skills you need to take. Now let's discuss the combos.
W > Q > E > W > W > R > W > Q > W > Q > R > Q > E > Q > E > R > E > E
For jungling:
E > W > Q > W > W > R > W > Q > W > Q > R > Q > E > Q > E > R > E > E
So, W should be used almost every time you have and it when you are in a fight, as well as the ult unless you can do without it. Also, when you get used to Jax, you will know what abilites to use. Jax isn't a high skill champ and doesn't require you to press a lot of keys in order to make a combo, which is why I like him.
Chasing someone:
W+Q on the enemy
Running away from someone:
E, ward and then Q on the ward
Fighting:
In a teamfight you want to use your ult to stay alive. In a 1 vs 1 keep using your E and W to negate damage and hopefully kill the enemy.

Jax gains 3.5% - 11% (based on level) bonus attack speed for 2.5 seconds every time he lands a basic attack, stacking up to 8 times for a maximum of 28% - 88% (based on level) bonus attack speed.

RANGE: 700 COST: 65 MANA COOLDOWN: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6
ACTIVE: Jax dashes to the target unit or allied ward. If his target is an enemy, he deals physical damage to them.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+ 60% AP) (+ 100% bonus AD)

COST: 30 MANA COOLDOWN: 7 / 6 / 5 / 4 / 3
ACTIVE: Jax's next basic attack or Leap Strike within 10 seconds deals bonus magic damage.
BONUS MAGIC DAMAGE: 40 / 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 (+ 60% AP)
Empower resets Jax's autoattack timer.

RANGE: 187.5 COST: 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 MANA COOLDOWN: 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 / 8
ACTIVE: Jax enters a defensive stance for up to 2 seconds, reducing physical damage from basic attacks by 100% and area of effect abilities by 25% for the duration.
At the end of the duration or if Counter Strike is activated again, Jax Stun icon stuns all nearby enemies for 1 second and deals them physical damage, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a maximum of 100%.
MINIMUM PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 50 / 75 / 100 / 125 / 150 (+ 50% bonus AD)
BONUS PHYSICAL DAMAGE PER HIT: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 (+ 10% bonus AD)

COST: 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 80
PASSIVE: Jax deals bonus magic damage on every third basic attack within 2.5 seconds.
MAGIC DAMAGE: 100 / 160 / 220 (+ 70% AP)
ACTIVE: Jax gains bonus armor and magic resistance for 8 seconds.
BONUS ARMOR: 30 / 50 / 70 (+ 50% bonus AD) armor
BONUS MAGIC RESISTANCE: 30 / 50 / 70 (+ 20% AP) magic resistance
