You may ask yourself, why should I listen to this chump? He probably is just another kid with a keyboard! Well, Lee Sin is by far my most played champion ever...

One last thing! If you are looking at becoming better in Ranked play or better as an overall player, I would HIGHLY recommend signing up for Mobalytics if you haven't already. It's free, so why not?

Rule #1: Read and understand your abilities (Especially your Passive,
Flurry).
One great point is that Lee Sin can easily survive by starting at either buff. Typically I like to start at bot side for 2 reasons.
1) Much faster start to your jungle
2) Top lane is the easiest to gank
Starting top side is also a viable option if you are looking to match the enemy jungle, counter jungle, or even cheese gank.
Jungling is rather easy early game due to high execute damage from your
Resonating Strike along with the shield from
Safeguard and the
lifesteal/
spellvamp from
Iron Will. HOWEVER, when mid to late game comes around, while clearing camps, refrain from using
Safeguard too much. This is important because there is always a possibility of being counter jungled or invaded. Saving
Safeguard for escaping feels much better than having to burn
Flash.
The only jungle camp that should be avoided first clear is
Raptors. Sure you will be able to kill them, but typically without at least one
Long Sword you will be burning both
Refillable Potions and
Smite. With most junglers, this wouldnt be an issue.
However, Lee Sin is an early game ganking king, meaning being as healthy as possible for ganks is very important. Basically, if you can sustain and manage your HP well, you can gank more and farm more.
Typically I try to hang on to
Refillable Potions for once I've completed a gank, so that I can go back to farming.

Always, always, always try to get a gank in once you've reached level three. This is your first power spike and its a great time to either snag first blood for yourself, or perhaps give it to a hyper carry on your team.
Pay attention to what the enemy jungle is. Are they decent in the early game?
Jarvan IV's level 3 gank is extremely strong as well. Its probably best to counter gank.
-ALWAYS HAVE A GENERAL PLAN. Check and see if your teammate has their
Flash or ult available. Always know if you have a ward available or not before a gank. Keep all this in mind for how you approach the gank
-ALWAYS COMMUNICATE TO YOUR FRIENDLY LANER. Don't forget to use smart pings!
-Don't burn
Sonic Wave too early. This is the first and biggest mistake any Lee Sin can make. If the enemy laner is pushed up enough for you to walk up and ward hop in, THEN DO SO. Use
Resonating Strike and
Safeguard as re-positioning and gap closers once they burn an escape. Remember, landing skill shots are always easier if the target is under
crowd control or right in front of you
-When possible,
Safeguard to friendly champions as a gap closer. When you
Safeguard to a friendly champion, this cuts the cool down on
Safeguard in half!
-Pay attention to your energy! There is nothing worse then watching a potential kill walk away because you didn't have the energy to
Sonic Wave. The best way to get around this issue is by abusing
Flurry. Auto attack in between abilities when you can, it makes the difference. A secondary measure to take is by not casting
Iron Will or not using
Tempest (when applicable)
-How are you going to get out? Do your best to save some sort of escape for when things go south

Having vision is one of the most important things to have for practically any player. Better yet, vision control.
It is so incredibly important to purchase plenty of
Control Wards through out the game. You should have bought approximately 6-7 of them per game.
-Counter jungling. Used to either remove current enemy
Stealth Wards in the jungle, tie up the enemy jungler, be used as bait... Practically endless possibilities.
-Preparing neutral objectives I.E.
Dragons,
Rift Herald, and
Baron. PRO TIP: Did you know you can solo kill
Dragon with a
Caulfield's Warhammer at level 4? This is great and its very likely that the enemy will not see it coming. You have to be 100% sure that it is a good idea at the time.

-Ganking. A typical use of a
Control Ward is reassurance there is no vision on your current position. After a rather unsuccessful gank bot lane, try leaving through the in lane bushes. Place a
Control Ward in one of the bushes and stay there, hidden. This set up is for a potential surprise double gank!
-Last resort Ward Hop. When all else fails and you are fully out of
Stealth Wards, you still have one final escape, by ward hoping using a
Control Wards. Sure you may of "wasted" a
Control Ward, but its definitely not as bad as feeding the enemy team.
-Vision control. As a jungler I would hope you have some of the best map awareness on your team. Being aware of whats happening can be half the battle. With this in mind, imagine the enemy team having little to none vision in the jungle area. This can be huge for all sorts of reasons! When the enemy team has NO idea where you are, that is a lot of map pressure alone.

At last, the most fun part of Lee Sin, COMBOS!
The practice tool is a great way to get better at these combos.
Here are a few standard combos that every Lee Sin player should practice.
Ward Hop: Placing a ward in a target spot, then casting
Safeguard to "jump" to said ward. This move is your main engage and escape.
-(URL) The Ward Hop
The Kick Flash: Use
Dragon's Rage on a target, then immediately re-positioning with
Flash while
Dragon's Rage is channeling. Strongest ganking tool. Used to start fights, and disengage them. Used to serve enemy champions to teammates
-(URL) The Kick Flash
The Ward Insec:
Sonic Wave then
Resonating Strike to an enemy champion, re-positioning with ward hop, then cast
Dragon's Rage on said enemy champion. Also used to serve enemy champions to teammates.
-(URL) The Ward Hop Insec
This combo is extremely hard to pull off, but can be incredibly devastating. An engage, and escape, all in one swift combo!
The Special K™: Cast
Sonic Wave onto target champion, ward hop close to enemy champion, kick flash, follow up with
Resonating Strike. This combo takes practice and needs to be executed all within the time frame you are able to cast
Sonic Wave and
Resonating Strike.
