In the early stages of the game, it is actually very good to get kills. So that you can get your first back items quickly:)

Try not to die yourself

Read the title.

After you get the first back items, just try to autoattack and mash e/q sometimes to do the extra bit of damage. Sometimes you can press r and w, but those dont do that much.

Its also important to note that its never your fault what happens. Either its the jungler or the other laners fault. Unless you win fights and get kills. Thats all on you.
