Hello all My name is Star_Syndicate I am a level 30 summoner and I have loved Mordekaiser From the time I first set eyes on him. You have to admit he looks freaking awesome even with his original skin. I have written this guide so others like myself can enjoy Mordekaiser. I will teach you how to build him, I will teach you how to lane with him. I will teach you the basics and advancements of his Play Style. When we are done you will be able to play Mordekaiser not only effectively, but also wisely. Without further a due I present to you the official Mordekaiser Guide to Destroy any Champion who is idiotic enough to cross your path!

Offensive Masteries take this to deal More damage, however you take more damage in return. take this for 5% CD during early game it helps a lot. this Provides +6 AP early game and scales into late which then gives you 16 AP. this Provides 6 AP which helps early game. This has great synergy with your Children of the Grave. This increases your AP by 5% This allows you to heal off champion kills in some situations could be very helpful. This provides much needed Magic Penetration! This allows your autos to be more devastating with the 5% AP it gives on auto attacks. Take this for 3% EXTRA damage!!! Defensive Masteries This helps you survive early game. This increases your hp regeneration early game which is when you are the weakest since you have no Spell Vampirism. This extra HP early game could mean the difference between life and death! It Really helps you out a ton. Utility Masteries This mastery synergies with your Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed Making Mordekaiser great for chasing those enemies down!!! and getting all the KEELS!! HUE HUE HUE!

Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed I take this because being Mordekaiser you are very slow this helps to chase down enemies.

Greater Mark of Magic Penetration I take these because on mordekaiser Magic Pen is very important. It synergises with your Children of the Grave quite nicely.

Greater Seal of Armor This is a good rune to ensure you don't take too much Physical Dmg.

Greater Glyph of Ability Power These runes will help early game with your last hit dmg and Poke dmg. They also scale into late game increasing your Damage over all.
Glyph of Cooldown Reduction Helps early game a lot and is useful the entire game thereafter.

These runes are a good Pick but some alternate runes could be Greater Quintessence of Ability Power or Greater Glyph of Magic Resist you can also get Greater Quintessence of Spell Vamp If you choose. However You get more than enough spell vamp in game so I don't think it's necessary. Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed will help you in the long run rather than spell vamp quints.

These summoner spells are you new best friends!!! Ignite creates perfect synergy with your Children of the Grave! Why? You ask? The answer is Your Children of the Grave has the longest DOT (Damage over time) in League of Legends. Together Ignite and Children of the Grave are a perfect finishing combo to get that low HP opponent cowering under their tower. Because you pushed them in and are laughing "HUE HUE HUE HUE" in their face ;D ROFL!

Flash on the other Hand is Probably the most used spell in the game! Why? Because it's a free get away/secure kill! I cannot tell you how many times That Akali got away with 4 hp! No problemo boss, just flash it up and Siphon of Destruction and "You have Slain an ENEMY!!"

This spell could be useful but I don't really see it happening. I suppose running the Movement speed in the build it would prove more effective.

Ok..why in the world would you take this on Mordekaiser Who has Iron Man?? You got me if you have an answer.

This spell is useful You could get some easy ganks off potentially, or maybe you need to save your tower? Possibly late late game it's a draw and no one knows how to finish? Teleport to enemies base and take out the Nexus ;D haha boo ya! Free win!

hey if you want to take this to get first blood by all means! However I warn you I have never used it so i do not recommend it. Its just not worth the space that other spells could offer!

As for the rest of the summoner spells meaning Clairvoyance etc...I do not think they would be useful. use the ones I have given you ;D "Great Success"

Iron Man This passive is the most ridiculous in the game you get a shield based on the magic damage you do to creeps, champions, and monsters. Never underestimate the strength of this passive. It allows you to trade in lane while taking literally 0 Damage. I cannot stress enough on how much I love this passive.

Mace of Spades His q is on hit affect. and spreads to 3 other minions or monsters or champions. However if the target is alone and you proc Lich Bane it is a massive nuke to champions! Use this to farm minions in Lane and to harass in lane.

Creeping Death His w is a shield that gives magic damage that is AOE it increases defense and resistance so it's good to shield yourself while running from a gank. You can shield your tank to make him last longer. You can use it to last hit creeps or apply poke in laning phase.

Siphon of Destruction His E is his Bread and Butter so to speak. It is his harass early game, main damaging skill and has a huge range. Use it to farm minions, Apply massive poke on Champions, and it is excellent for annihilating packs of minions. It also charges your Iron Man very fast.

Children of the Grave His ultimate is probably the most amazing ultimate in the game. It Does Percent health as damage and is a 10 second Damage over time. If someone dies under your ultimate you enslave their soul for 30 seconds and your the "boss" you tell them what to do or who to attack! This "Pet" Is probably the strongest champion on the field because it copies their stats and combines them with yours.

these shoes provide you much needed magic penetration. And they improve your move speed. A must-buy every game!

This Item provides Cooldown Reduction +20% Spell Vamp. Which as Mordekaiser you desperately need. Seeing how his abilities cost HP. it also give you +50 AP. You can sel it later to get a Hextech Gunblade if you wish.

This item provides+20% Spell vamp 10% lifesteal and 65 AP. It out classes Will of the Ancients in every way except the Cool down reduction. However it is quite expensive!!

This item is great for those Pesky opponent AP carries. Yes, I'm talking about the ones you were supposed to stomp during lane. Anyways This item provides 450HP 55 Magic Resist and a refreshing shield. Very good item to consider buying when you desperately need Magic Resist.

This item provides 20% Cooldown Reduction which is very helpful. It also features 450 HP and 55 magic resist and increases all healing. Yes that does include spell vamp ;D

This amazing scepter is your savior. It provides 70 AP along with 45 magic Resist. WAIT before you buy it, it also lowers the MR of people around you. Now you can buy it!

this item is quite nice If your against a team composition who has a ton of CC what do you do? You get this it provides a cleanse that removes all debuffs from your champion. Freeing you to ROFL Pub stomp your opponents. it also provides 45 Magic resistance.

This item is unique, I say this because it gives you +6% extra movement speed! Which synergies perfectly with your Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed runes. It also provides 40 Magic resistance and a active that sends out shadows to slow your opponents. Freaking awesome right?

This defensive advanced item is once of the best "protectors in the game" Basically if you die you have a chance to live again because it's passive restores you to 30% health. Although it does have a 5 minute cool down so be wary. It also provides +50 armor and +40 Magic Resist.

This item provides HP and AP per minute that stacks up to 10 minutes it. ignore the mana as it's useless on Mordekaiser

This item provides 120 Ap and 50 armor. The active is neat But I don't really see it as useful on Mordekaiser

This shield gives you 500 Hp and 70 armor and reduces opponents attack speed by 20. Get it if you need to protect against an AD carry.

If you plan to snowball early and get all the KEELZ! Then this is the item for you it provides +20 AP. However if you max stack this (20) stacks. Then you receive 8 ability power per stack. The stacks require champion kills though so be wary. also gives +15% Cd reduction at max stacks.

this is an offense OP Hat. It provides +120 AP and it's passive increases your total AP by 30%...Yah pretty Dam good! Get this item if you want to do all the damages ;D haha!

This item provides 10% CD reduction and +120 Ap. it has an active that slows champions and amplifies all magic damage taken for 4 seconds. It is a great item for getting Cooldown Reduction and I generally just love this item!

This offensive book gives you 20% Cool down Reduction, 75 AP and afflicts grievous wounds. A Very good item for Mordekaiser. I personally love the CD reduction!

this scepter provides a soft CC which you desperately need. It features 500hp and +80 Ability power.

This item is fantastic. It synergies perfectly with your Mace of Spades provides 80 AP and +5% movement speed with goes well with your Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed.

Liandry's torment Provides 300 Hp and 50 Ap it costs 3k gold. But it synergies with you Children of the Grave because of it's magic penetration.

This staff provides 35% magic Pen which helps to kill those annoying tanks like Volibear or Nasus. It also provides +70 AP.

On your First back you should be looking to buy Hextech Revolver this item is absolutely essential to you because being Mordekaiser you use HP to cast your spells. Investing in Spell Vamp Completely Neglects you actually using your HP.

Once you Finish your Hextech Revolver You need to buy Fiendish Codex Many of your items are built from this and it's a good early game item. It provides good CD reduction! You then can upgrade your Hextech Revolver to Will of the Ancients or Hextech Gunblade That is completely up to you. Soon after you should look to buy your Sorcerer's Shoes These are vital to your build you neeed magic penetration!

Your Next Item should be either Morellonomicon or Deathfire Grasp these items provide alot of CD Reduction which will help you able to regenerate Iron Man faster which in turns allows for more Damages haha.

After you Have Completed Deathfire Grasp or Morellonomicon You are finally ready to buy your legendary item Rabadon's Deathcap once you have this item you AP will Skyrocket.

So now you Have Hextech Gunblade, Deathfire Grasp, Rabadon's Deathcap Sorcerer's Shoes you may purchase Tier 3 boots I prefer Enchantment: Alacrity.

We are nearing the finish line now Your Last item can be Lich Bane!

You now have 40% Cooldown reduction your movement speed is 438 and your AP is 670. You will be able to facemelt any one who crosses your path.

Will of the Ancients is an amazing item for mordekaiser. It provides 10% Cool down reduction and 50 Ability power. And most of all it's 1400 gold less than Hextech Gunblade. naturally they both give +20% Spell Vamp.

Hextech Gunblade brings a lot to the table but costs quite a bit of money. It gives +65 Ap and +20% Spell Vamp. It also gives Mordekaiser +10% lifesteal,but it's not like he really needs that though. It lacks Cooldown Reductions though so Will of the Ancients wins in this war I think.

However just because it won does not mean that you can't favor Hextech Gunblade. It is entirely up to you which spell vamp Item to pick. late game he doesn't even need Spell Vamp you can sell it for something more suitable!!

This is your standard Boots Start.

This is my Amplifying tome start very good to rush Hextech Revolver ASAP!

This is your Standard Sustain in lane Doran's Shield Start. Very good if your up against a lane opponent that you don't know much about.

Mordekaiser is often underestimated especially in ranked. You can use this to your advanatge. most people won't know how to play against you! Just push your lanes watch out for ganks ward and generally starve you opponent.

When your in lane use your Siphon of Destruction to farm. I also use Mace of Spades but that's my personal preference it could be different for you. If your opponent is not letting you get near farm with Siphon of Destruction and Creeping Death.

Levels 1-5 You should be harassing your opponent with Siphon of Destruction very often. And you should take wraiths or the enemies wraiths. Your opponent should be pretty low health from the harass so the time to act is now!

Once you hit level 6 and Children of the Grave becomes available you can kill that pesky katarina who is sitting at her turret. Here is the combo.

Farm for a few seconds to get Iron Man fully charged now walk casually toward their tower with your wave and as soon as you get there:

+ + + =Insta kill them if their at 30% HP. It's split second so don't mess up the combo!!!

Now continue to farm and eventually take their turret ;D

After you have taken their turret you should wonder around with those Quintessence of Movement Speed runes I gave ya. Now just proceed to kill everyone as best as you can. This is the point of the game where team fights break out. So being Mordekaiser it's your job to win those team fights. you are the AP carry. So carry!!

Other than that just take towers,kick butt and take names. You know what I'm saying here? You are Mordekaiser the king of the ROFL Pub-Stompers.

By this point you should be face melting the enemy and going "HUE HUE HUE HUE" Penta KEELZ!

No but really. Stay in the back of the line harass with Siphon of Destruction and don't engage. If you ace them you win.

So that concludes the explanation of the The big 3 Phases!! :D

When you Kill someone with Children of the Grave you get a "pet" that you can order around. You do this by Pressing "R" getting the ghost of the ad carry of the enemy team will pretty much win the fight. You can also use Children of the Grave to heal yourself during desperate times. Best to cast it on the tank of the enemy team and get a TON of Hp instantly.

Your ghost has a 1150 range which means you can send it to do something else while you hang back. For instance kill that person under their turret while drawing no turret aggro to yourself? Yah that's the job for the pet.

You ghost can also push towers VERY fast. in fact getting the ghost of a tank will allow you to let the ghost tank towers. Good for late game when no minions are around.

Children of the Grave MATHS!!!!

HEALTH: The enslaved champion's total health plus 15% of Mordekaiser's total Health
ATTACK DAMAGE: The enslaved champion's base AD at Lv. 1 plus its bonus AD and 75% of Mordekaiser's total AD
ABILITY POWER: The enslaved champion's AP plus 75% of Mordekaiser's AP
MOVEMENT SPEED: The enslaved champion's base movement speed plus the bonus from Mordekaiser's boots.
During this time, Mordekaiser gains 20% of the enslaved champion's total AP and AD. This bonus does not affect the ghost's stats.

While your in mid lane once you've pushed you wave you can farm either your wraiths (with your junglers permission) or you can farm the enemies wraiths and counter jungle. Being Mordekaiser you clear time is Unbelievable so take advantage of that fact!

Jungle Ability Clear Sequence: > > >

That is the best way to clear wraiths at early levels. Don't wander into the enemy jungle for days though because you'll get caught and die!!

Farming is pretty self explanatory being mordekaiser so I won't go too in depth. Just farm the jungle when you can and don't miss any last hits!

Being Mordekaiser you are the best farmer in the game! So just spam dat E and Q and W And full Speed Ahead!!!

make Sure to ward the two side brushes in the mid lane that's critical to playing mordekaiser. If you get ganked you will most likely die if you don't have flash.

Also how to deal with junger ganks is pretty simple. If you think you can take them by getting a ghost pet form your opponent or the jungler. Try it if your doomed anyway might as well get a kill or a double-kill you know what I'm saying?

Work together with your team and don't be the one that engages the fight. If you do you will be stunned and CC'ed to death. That is mordekaiser biggest counter, CC or stuns. If you have no shield or can't use your shield your dead!

Stay behind your tank and laugh as you chunk the enemies HP ;D HUEHUEHUEHUE!
