Champion Build Guide
Why top lane?
Warwick Top has always been one of my pocket picks since the rework. I was a Riven OTP and enjoyed playing Warwick jungle. Then I took him top lane by accident and found that I very did well. So in season 7 I had over 140 games of Warwick top and had a 62% winrate and achieved Gold 1, which was my highest rank then. In season 8 I hit Platinum 4 and Warwick top was my 2nd most played, 35 games, and my 2nd highest winrate, 62% again. Today in season 9, I don't play ranked much anymore, but Warwick top is currently my highest winrate, 83%, but I have only played 6 games with him and I am currently Gold 2. So I find warwick top to be very effective in low elo to mid elo (plat). I am not sure how well he will fare in high elo.
The Basics
Warwick does a lot of damage, especially with Sheen. Many opponents won't expect this damage, so use this to your advantage. Warwick's Q, if held, nullifies almost ALL CC's, except: Stuns, Silences and Suppresses. So a well timed Q-hold can counter all champions who rely on snares or dashes. You're only enemy is grievous wounds.
Trading
You typically want to trade using your Q, but be weary. Your Q mana cost is extremely high. When trading, you want to Q in and then use your E to reduce damage from your enemy. While your E is active, auto attack them and Q them. If your E is about to run out disengage with the fear. Only use your ult to prevent your enemy from escaping, if you're low, to finish them off, or to escape.
Teamfights
With Tri-Force and Hydra built, you can chunk squishies. In teamfights, play as the front-line and focus the squishes as you can tank with your E and heal from Ult and Q. Use your R to engage into fights or to catch out enemies. Make sure to E before ulting into a teamfight as your E autmatically fears when you land your Ult.
