Intro.
Here's a champion spotlight for Vi:
To Vi, every problem is just another brick wall to punch through with her gigantic hextech gauntlets. Though she grew up on the wrong side of the law, Vi now uses her criminal know-how to serve Piltover's police force. Vi's brash attitude, abrasive humor, and blatant refusal to follow orders can often infuriate her by-the-books partner, Caitlyn. But even the Sheriff of Piltover cannot deny that Vi is an invaluable asset in the fight against crime.
As a child growing up in the lawless outskirts of Piltover, Vi learned to rob and cheat to get by. Stealing and stripping hextech hardware gave her the skills of a master mechanic, while life on the streets taught her self-reliance. When she was six, a ragtag group of criminals took a shine to the young delinquent and brought her into their fold. By the time Vi was eleven, she had become a seasoned accomplice, and she relished the thrill of every heist.
Vi's attitude changed when a raid on a mining facility went bad. She was forced to decide between fleeing with her crew and trying to save the innocent mine workers from a collapsed tunnel. Vi chose to play the hero. While searching for a way to free the mine workers from the rubble, she discovered a damaged robotic mining rig. Improvising, she wrenched off its huge fists and modified them into makeshift hextech gauntlets. Fitting the heavy weapons to her tiny hands, the young girl flexed her arm and threw a powered punch at the rubble. The force of the blow blasted away the rock. With the workers free to escape, Vi fled the scene.
After that job gone wrong, Vi severed her connection to the crew. She returned to a life of solitary crime, but stole only from other criminals. As the years went by, Vi modified and improved her hextech fists, allowing her to bust up heists and snatch loot with ease. Eventually, word of her notoriety reached Caitlyn, the famed Sheriff of Piltover. Rather than seek Vi's arrest, Caitlyn offered the criminal a way to pay her debt to society: work for the law in Piltover. Vi laughed. To her, a job that let her beat up crooks without forcing her to run from the cops sounded perfect. She immediately accepted. Caitlyn now struggles to keep Vi in line, and Vi treats Caitlyn's orders as mere suggestions, but when they work together, they are feared by all lawbreakers in Piltover.
''It's a shame. I've got two fists, but you've only got one face.''

Skill point distribution
It's a new champion so there is no only one correct way to distribute skill points, this is just my opinion. I chose to max Vault Breaker first because it's very usefull (for harras and utility) combined with Relentless Force for clearing minions early game and harrasing enemy that will storm your tower as this guide is for Solo Top. Many people chose to max Relentless Force first, but this skill is to much AP dependant in my opinion (we r not building an ap champ) and we don't wanna push our lane to far just wait for jungler to come and clear minions close to the tower to keep it safe. Don't get me wrong, I am not underestimating the power of Relentless Force, but it's not as needed early game as close gap/run away tool.
Summoner spells
Standard spells, nothing to talk about.. You can take Exhaust for easy kills under turret and late game 1vs1. Summoner spells are your own personal thing so chose as you wish.
- First of all.. DON'T PUSH just last hit minions.. I know it's pretty much obvious, but many people push lanes to far and then blame jungler or guide's author for being useless.
- I start with Boots and 3 Health Potion which is pretty much a standard for most champs.. alternatively (deppending on enemy you're facing) you can chose Long Sword instead of Boots and 2 Health Potion
- Try to cooperate with your jungler, last hit minions and anihilate them with Relentless Force and Vault Breaker near tower and you should get Black Cleaver and Warmog's Armor in no time. Those r the two items that are essential for Vi.
- For boots I chose Ionian Boots of Lucidity which helps alot with long cooldown on Cease and Desist. Ofc you can chose others depending on situation like Ninja Tabi or Mercury's Treads.
- Once you get Warmog's Armor and Black Cleaver you should be tanky enough to push your lane and gank mid and bot to gain kills or asists.
- Next go straight for Last Whisper or if the fight is going bad Guardian Angel and Frozen Mallet combined with Bloodthirster.
Jungling with Vi is smooth and fun. Grab Smite and open with Hunter's Machete, 3 Health Potion and Relentless Force, then just follow the jungling path as shown:
Alternatively if your team decides to invade try to steal enemy's blue buff. In my opinion it's pointless to buy Wriggle's Lantern while jungling with Vi, Hunter's Machete should be enough to help you with start. After few rounds with creeps just follow item guide listed above.

There is not much to say here.. Pick up the first enemy that opens up the fight (even if it's a tank) to double hit him with your Relentless Force, try to hit enemies behind him with it. After you did that all of enemies will probably start focusing you which is exactly what we want, AP or ADC will close the gap and u are free to use Vault Breaker and Cease and Desist on them which will trigger blast shiled allowing you to stay alive longer, give your team time to focus and score kills. Use your Vault Breaker and Cease and Desist to disturb enemies and catch runing opponents
I hope my guide wasn't to chaotic and answered all your questions considering Vi gameplay top lane as well as jungling.
