I guess some people would argue that you receive more/ needed lane pressure by taking Ignite. That used to be an argument at least before Teleport became the most common summoner in top lane I suppose.

Shen isn't really known for his amazing kill pressure in lane tbh

Never heard about that lvl 2 cheese with Shen? But I agree in the fact that's the only time he should be able to kill his lane opponent.

I guess the fact that you have literally zero lane pressure in lane is the reason for people or was the reason for people picking up Ignite even though Teleport seems to be an obvious choice. It's an old thing as I said.

Teleport on Shen is the way to go imo also Exhaust is probably better than Ignite on him. Being able to totally lock one target down is probably stronger than bringing a dmg dot with healing reduction to the party.

Well, I take Teleport+ Smite as a jungler this way I have lanepressure all the time anywhere. And Shen is very mobile with his taunt.

Yeah I remember when that used to be a thing. You just need the ignite to get any kill potential.

These days I take Teleport though, since almost all top laners started doing it. But I guess that's been reiterated a few times already xD
