Liqur I don't think you are taking this right.
He isn't really QQing, but he is right, their semi-****ty guides are one upping the good ones because of their names.

Thanks to TRUeLM, Plastictree, Scrax, Xiaowiriamu, foggy12, JahGFX, jhoijhoi, msrobinson, JEFFY40HANDS, Nyoike, MissMaw, and me :) for the sigs!
Well he is QQing about it. WHO FN CARES! omg this whole guide thing plagues this site way too much. Just be fknin happy they are apart of mobafire.
They dont need to write detailed long *** guides. THEY ARE PRO. They have proved more in this game then any one of us, therefore they deserve to be on the top regardless of the quailtiy of the guide. They get upvotes cause they are pro, and that is 100% fine with me, they are doing us a favor. who cares its not a novel, they actually make money playing this game. ANY advice they have to give, is PRO advice. Advice you should be paying for.
So imo get over it. or become pro.

The battleroom is ready. Liqur's hands are steady. The enemy is deadly.
Well, I wouldn't pay to read their guides :) But they are professional players, so their builds, if nothing else, are worthy of being looked at.

My guide for beginners took me 10-15 hours and is by far the longest guide I've made, so it is to exaggerate a bit to say hundreds of hours, though I don't think Tem actually meant it literally :p
Hell, it took me ten hours to READ jhoi's guide.
Thing is inhuman.
I was more complaining about the community issue than the guide issue.
I'm 100% for seperating the guides, because the expectations even, are much different for a pro guide than a "regular" guide.
I guess i was just ranting, because I'm in a similar situation to the pro's, in that i don't have/don't want to spend whole heaps of time to just sit down and do bunches of math and write out everything that you would ever want to know about a particular build of a particular champion.
Tri lane for life.
Well, that would explain why your guide isn't top.
Sorry to be blunt...but...
if you spent more time on it, your score would reflect that.

Okay, here's what I've got to say:
The reason they're being separated is because, well, they're in two different leagues. There's the VERY detailed guides that don't always have perfect item builds, but can at least get a noob on their way and packed up with a bunch of low-level knowledge - these are the general mobafire builds. Then there's the pro builds, which do what solomid does and just kind of throws out how they build, and then explains whatever needs to be explained (mostly situational stuff, not how to play the game).
Putting the pro guides with the top 10 really isn't optimal, just because the pro guides don't have as much time put into them as mobafire members do, just because they can get an equal score without effort and the format suits their high elo mindset. (the "I'm not going to teach you how to play, I'm going to teach you how to build"). So, in this way, I think the pro guides should be separate from the normal guides.
About the pros not taking suggestions:
If you make a valid point, I'm sure they'll either justify themselves (as I seem to notice Elementz doing most frequently) or they'll change it. However, they have their item builds pretty well thought out by now. If you don't make a valid point, they're liable to just shrug you off. A lot of the discrepancies in item builds could come from skill gap (for instance, chu8 rushes a trinity force on maokai, but I can't do that or run the risk of being too squishy mid-game). If they don't accept your advice, it's their loss. You can't do any more about it than you could if they were a regular member. If they're mean about it, report them - the admins may step in if they're out of line.

Actually, if i spent more time on it, I'd just be angrier when i get troll voted to all hell.
That, and there's nothing i can add that hasn't already been said.
Then again, this isn't about my guide.
Tri lane for life.

I spent a decent amount of time on my guide and it's still barely looked at. =/
I know I can improve it (Which I will be when I got time, but I mean I guess the comment-to-vote feature) has to be done by a member and some are too lazy to even give feedback. >.>
I wish there was like a guest thing so they can vote by comment.
But also no, because they'll be even more trolls ._.
I hate trolls )=

They get paid to play this game for a reason. Quit QQing and get over it. Your the one being childish making such a huge deal out of it.
