Bryun: You can just ask some people to look at it and see what they think. If it is good, they might upvote and even help you improve it, so the chances of getting upvotes when people actually see your guide is higher.
I had Luther read through my entire guide for beginners to see if stuff was missing or if there were many grammar errors and so on. ^^
I'd gladly take a look on each new guide you post and try to help you improve it. ^^

I would appreciate that!
But my prayers have been answered, my Akali guide has been recommended twice!
Take a look and give me your critisms :3
(I'm still in the process of adding a "Gameplay" section, just been busy. x.x)
^ Agreeing with that. I have friends who are absolutely terrible and, even looking at pro guides, will do terrible. Looking at other guides with "do this in X situation but other thing in Y situation" makes it so much easier for them.
Sig courtesy of GrandmasterD. Go get your own sig from them. :D
How about instead of splitting it to normal guides and pro guides, split it into guides and builds. That way people seeking for explanations can go to guides and others to builds. I realize that there already is two sections, but the pro guides should just be placed in builds even if they meet the site requirements for a guide.

I agree with you. The current system counts any build above 80% score as a guide, which is stupid imo and should be changed. Just because the build is good it does not mean it's a guide!
to my honest opinion. The only one out of all the pros that add some effort but could use so more work on is Elementz.
Saint guides have so much little information,it really bothers me that people are just up voting because of who he is.When I read through some of the guides I just downvoted them all.Sure the items and masteries are good but not giving reasonings.
Hotshot Nidalee-I dont understand how it is 91 percent with no explanation on the runes, item choices and lack of information.
Bigfat-I doubt his trying to be honest.

By saying this you make it seem like making guides on solomid look nice is easier than on here...when in fact that is quite untrue; both sites use BBCode, and they have many less features than we do, such as colors, bullets, underline, headers, etc. that make a guide more aesthetically pleasing.
Actually, pictures make guides look nice.
fancy fonts and spacing are just attempts at the emulation of a picture for the sake of time.
Guides that lack explanations are bad for everyone.
Guides that are bad, are bad for everyone.
Guides that lack explanation, but are good, are good for the people that can think for themselves.
